Our Team

At Alpha Preclinical, Barak brings over 20 years of scientific knowledge and veterinary experience from the biotechnology and preclinical contract researcher industry to focus on the growth, expansion and advancement of our portfolio companies.

Barak is a founding member of Alpha’s scientific team and serves as the company’s Chief Executive Officer and Chief Scientific Officer. Prior to Alpha, Barak held the responsibility as director of in vivo pharmacology at multiple biotech companies, and positions of increasing responsibility at Boston Children’s Hospital and Biomere.

He conducted his veterinary training at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel.

Barak is particularly excited about partnering with our clients to combine deep understandings of disease models for well executed translational medicine. He is consistently enthralled with how his collaborating with clients on their research platform leveraging incipient science to create breakthrough therapies and devices for market development.
